The relationship between Chamberlain and Hitler was characterized by a series of diplomatic negotiations and agreements in the lead-up to World War II. Chamberlain, as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, pursued a policy of appeasement towards Hitler's aggressive expansionist policies in the 1930s. However, Hitler's subsequent actions, including the invasion of Poland in 1939, ultimately led to the breakdown of the relationship and the outbreak of war. **
